The Great Australian Doorstep opening doors to adventure
10 March 2020
Having kicked off Series 12 on Saturday the 15th of February, former Professional Australian Footballer Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt and travel-expert co-host, Sheree Everitt began the new season at the helm of an Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X—Going Their Own Way to capture all of the great sights this country has to offer, and inspiring others to do the same.
The agenda for this season? To emphasise the Australian spirit more than ever—with the couple focusing their attention to visiting the smaller country towns around Australia whose residents live and work every day to emphasise the essence of what it means to be Australian.
“The Great Australian Doorstep was born 12 years ago from our love of inspiring and enabling people to get out and explore the nature, culture and character that Australia is renowned for,” Sheree Everitt said.
“Every town that Spida and I have the pleasure of visiting live genuine locals who, without fail, share the most entertaining stories, encompass a strong sense of community and exhibit the authentic Australian spirit that forms a huge part of what we love about this country,” she said.
Season 12 includes a six-part special featuring Outback Queensland and the New South Wales drought affected regions, where Spida journeys through Longreach, Winton, Charleville and Roma in outback Queensland, before crossing into NSW to Lightning Ridge, Bourke, Tilpa, White Cliffs, Wilcannia, Hay and all the way down to Echuca following The Long Paddock stock route.
“Travelling once again alongside Isuzu UTE Australia not only enables us to continue to experience the greater outback with a reliable vehicle, but to share with our viewers the long list of things that make us so uniquely Australian and continue to inspire them to Go Their Own Way”.
