Second Season Of Isuzu UTE A-League Kicking Off

19 September 2022

Heading into the second year of a three-year partnership, and Isuzu UTE Australia and the A-Leagues are celebrating a successful first season of the Isuzu UTE A-League men’s competition, all the while looking towards an action-packed 2022/23 season ahead.

The 2022/23 season will undoubtedly build on the excitement generated in the previous season, for another championship filled with the best football in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are excited to be teaming up again with the A-Leagues to help deliver another entertaining season for Football Fans across the country,” said Isuzu UTE Australia Managing Director, Hiroyasu Sato.

“After a strong first Isuzu UTE A-League season, we can’t wait to be part of the action on-and-off the pitch again, and to build on the passion shared between football fans and Isuzu drivers,” he said.

As the first full regular season schedule in three-years since the disruption caused by COVID-19, a focus on this season was to create the best opportunities for fans to watch and attend more games than ever before.

“Delivering a fantastic experience for our clubs and their members and, most importantly our fans is always an exciting and important milestone,” said A-Leagues Chief Executive Officer, Danny Townsend. “We are genuinely excited about the season ahead and are confident that it will deliver world-class football across Australia.”

To kick-off the new season, the Isuzu UTE A-League will see a Grand Final rematch between 2021/22 champions, Western United FC, and runner-up Melbourne City FC—facing off on Friday, October 7th.

This new season will see some high-profile international stars join the ranks in the Australian Professional Leagues, including UEFA Champions League European Championship and English Premier League winner, Luis Nani, who recently signed with Melbourne Victory for the 2022/23 season.

With more opportunity for football fans to catch their favourite teams than ever before, the A-Leagues have also made it easier for fans to watch—with 90% of games scheduled in just four time slots, with two games per week broadcast live and free on 10 Bold and live streamed on 10 Play. On top of that, all matches will be available to watch live on Australia’s fastest growing streaming service, Paramount+, meaning football fans will never miss a game.

As the official Naming Rights Partner of the Isuzu UTE A-League, Isuzu UTE Australia will continue to support the league both on-and-off the pitch—providing vehicle support to the A-Leagues and clubs, an exclusive member offer to A-Leagues club members and, of course, more sightings of the small-but-mighty Mini D-MAX.

It’s time to pump up the football, throw on your team jersey, find your place in the stands or tune into 10 Bold and Paramount+ from October 7th, as this Isuzu UTE A-League 2022/23 season is shaping up to be one to remember.
