LEADERSHIP CHANGE FOR IUA's AFTERSALES AND PARTS DIVISION

26 May 2023

After five years of service overseeing the Aftersales and Parts Division of Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA), Mr. Takeshi Yasui (Ted) is set to return to Japan, assuming a new leadership role at Isuzu Japan’s head office, effective 26th May 2023. Simultaneously, IUA welcomes the appointment of Mr. Ryosuke Takeishi (Roy), as IUA’s new Deputy Managing Director of Aftersales and Parts, officially commencing his duties on 18th May 2023.

With his initial appointment dating back to 5th March 2018, Mr. Yasui originally oversaw the administration, human resources, information technology, and finance operations of IUA, before transitioning into the role of Deputy Director in charge of Aftersales and Parts. In the revised position, Mr. Yasui exemplified dedication, pragmatism and the leadership required to successfully navigate the Aftersales and Parts Division through a challenging period due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reflecting on his impact with the brand, IUA Managing Director, Mr. Junta Matsui said he is “grateful for his contributions at IUA, and his shared customer-centric vision that guided IUA to success over the years."

"Mr Yasui’s leadership and strategic acumen were instrumental in the development of the Aftersales Department; synergising parts, service, aftersales operations, and planning—he successfully fostered a culture of collaboration, resulting in improved operational efficiency and enhanced customer satisfaction.”

Assuming the role of Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Ryosuke Takeishi brings extensive leadership experience from previous postings within the automotive industry. Mr. Takeishi’s appointment will see him join IUA’s board of directors, which is led by IUA’s Managing Director, Mr. Junta Matsui, who oversees Corporate Planning and Product Planning, Mr. Koichiro Yoshida who manages Sales, Marketing and Network Development functions, and Ms. Reiko Sato, who leads the Finance, IT, HR and Administration areas of the business.

“We are honoured to welcome Mr. Takeishi to the board of directors at IUA. His strategic initiatives during his previous tenures proved pivotal in devising the corporate strategy for Mitsubishi Corporation, and we look forward to learning from his experience and the strategic insights that will allow us to optimise our aftersales operations,” concluded Mr. Matsui

The new appointment bolsters IUA’s commitment and efforts towards sustainable sales growth and customer satisfaction. As IUA approaches the halfway mark of the year, the two-vehicle marque is currently positioned as Australia’s 10th best-selling automotive brand to date, with 8,372 D-MAX utes and 4,893 MU-X SUVs sold and delivered, across the first-four months of 2023.
